So here's my first post! This is a dinner I'm pretty proud of; I got a big pack of pork over Super Bowl Weekend because it was on sale and I froze them with two pieces in a bag. This was actually pretty simple to make. I had all the ingredients on hand and all I had to do was assemble it! (:
Apple Stuffed Pork Chops with Pineapple-Orange Gravy, topped with caramelized onions and mushrooms
I got the recipe from Food Network online (Apple and Onion-Stuffed Pork Chops with Orange-Pineapple Gravy by Sunny Anderson) and I tweaked it.
My ingredients:
- Bone-in pork chops
- Fuji apples (peeled and sliced thin)
- Orange Juice
- Pineapple Juice (I took the juice from canned pineapple chunks)
- Onions
- Mushrooms
The cook time was about the same on the recipe. I just used salt and pepper for the seasoning. I also caramelized the onions and threw in the mushrooms while cooking the onions for the topping. It was delicious and I ate it with white rice (:
